I have a deep passion for mixed martial arts and in my practice sustained a rotator cuff injury to my left shoulder. After continuous irritation that lasted 6 months I decided to seek outside resources in the form of massage therapy, community, and eventually physical therapy. The healing process was slow.
I met with Maja and she was kind enough to offer assistance as this pain had a great influence in my life. She provided a gentle insights into what the pain represented on an emotional and energetic level all while providing a safe space for reflection and contemplation. I felt comfortable and truly seen throughout the entire session.
I fully rested my shoulder for a couple weeks after the energy session and took a break from even my physical therapy exercises that I was so diligently performing. My shoulder healed drastically afterward. I was so grateful for the physical and energetic impact that Maja provided and she served a pivotal role in the healing process of my injury. It being my left side so much of it had to do with slowing down and embracing the feminine energy within.
It served as a reaffirmation that sometimes less is more and to truly listen to our body especially injury takes stillness, reflection, gratitude, and the inner courage to ask for help
